Bluetooth

So. I went to Costco here, which is a wholesale club.. and they sell lots of stuff. And I saw a bluetooth wireless earpiece for my cell phone for $70.00. So I figured I’d pick it up. It’s awesome. Now I can be really lazy. If i want to call someone, i just press the button on the side and say “Call [insert name/number here]” The voice recognition already exists on the cell phone, the blue tooth just ties into it. The voice rec is a little flakey, but meh. I have a cold so that’s probably why. Now I just have to pull my phone up when someone calls me so I can read the caller ID. If only it said “Incoming Call from Rosie” instead.

Here is what my ear piece looks like. I like it. it’s sexy.

Except the 7% sales tax I paid. I thought Pennsylvania was bad with 6%. Oh well.

So last night, the news broke about O’bama’s passport records being breached. This morning news broke about Clinton’s and McCain’s records broke too. Interesting. I’ll comment on it when I know more about it.

Gone South

So, I arrived late Saturday night. I ate at cracker barrel. I had steak.. it was freakin amazing. I like my steak medium; you know, nice and pink.

I got here and was very tired from my long, boring train ride. I sat in my seat for 10 hours reading some EGM, sleeping a bit, et cetera. Oh well. I’m here now. Here’s where I am concerned. I’m supposed to return home on Saturday, but with the wild storms that are down south in Texas at the moment, I am worried about a timely return. Within a few days, the storm will definitely hit my home state.

On friday night, I went shopping with my mom to get stuff for the trip. I needed new shoes, some clothes, et cetera. I also needed a new charger. I’ve been sharing a charger with my mom because mine had mysteriously disappeared in the depths of my bedroom. When I went to the mall, I asked if they had a charger. The guy checked it out and said no, and then he sold me a new phone. Yeah, I guess I fell for the salesmen ploy, but to be completely honest, I would have needed a phone anyway, as my contract with sprint was expiring in a few weeks (end of march) and my mom had absolutely no desire to renew with Sprint. Sprint is horrible. Don’t use them. If you do, get off them as soon as you can. I switched to T-Mobile and got a cool phone. It’s my first camera phone. It’s cool. It’s a razr. I need to put in a rebate form for it, because it cost me 65$ for the phone without rebate. The one thing with T-Mobile is they don’t have in-network calling. Instead they have MyFavs, where you can call any 5 people on any network unlimitedly.

The phone looks like this

The photos are good quality:

Yeah. That’s my kneecap. Mhmm. Lidoderm patches, because my knee cap was really sore. Probably from being jammed into a train seat next to a rather large women who was taken up half of my seat. They actually help. I can now walk without limping and sit almost indian style (it still feels a little tight). It felt like tendinitis in my knee cap. Hopefully just temporary.

Let’s hope the weather doesn’t hit my destination too bad, shall we?

Bound for South Carolina

So tomorrow I’m taking the mornin’ train to South Carolina to see my grandparents. It’s going to be like a 10 hour train ride.

But I’m in trouble. I can’t find my cell phone charger.. my laptop is broken, my iPod is missing in the depths of my house, I need a hair cut and I’m not even packed yet.

Oh tonight is going to be a busy night.

Sleep Is For the Weak

So.

Have had a lot of things on my mind. None that I want/can discuss here. I couldn’t sleep last night. So I figured I’d stay up. I’m waiting for this HUGE Monster Energy drink to kick in.. it took me like 3 hours to finish it. I feel like now I’m about to fall asleep. Which means that if it does kick in, when I get home later tonight. I’m gonna crash hard. Oh man. I could so use a nap right now.

Spring Time – Busy Time

Oh man.

Most people are excited for spring. I usually am to. I kind of am this year, but I got a LOT to do before spring sets in.

Because I work in a school, I get off on all student breaks (except summer), so I am off from work (unpaid sadly) from March 15 until March 23. So, I am going to South Carolina for this entire week to see my grandparents and my brother. I haven’t seen them for awhile and I figure now it is a good time. Except, I have to take the train that costs $164. Oi.

But that’s not all! March 26th-29th I have a regional competition in Philadelphia for FIRST Robotics where I’m a scorekeeper. So I’m going to be really busy during that time. No real money loss here except if you count “money not earned” as a loss, since I’ll have to take off of work for two days.

But there’s more! April 17th-19th there’s the robotics championship where I am also a scorekeeper. Oi. I’ll be flying in to Orlando, Florida briefly where I will meet an ol’ high school friend. We’ll be driving up to Atlanta. When I come home, I’ll be flying directly from Atlanta. The plane flight cost was $300 give or take a few dollars… and I’m still waiting for the cost of the hotel. Greaaatttt

So basically, I got all this stuff I gotta do for my IRC network before all these extended computerless times happen. Because my laptop is dead and I doubt I’ll get the time to have it looked at and fixed before at least South Carolina.

Oh boi.
(I did that to be annoying)
